How to use this calculator
- 1 Add the chemicals you use — enter each container's size and price.
- 2 Create your wash packages (Basic, Deluxe, Premium…).
- 3 Assign chemicals to each package.
- 4 Enter usage per car (mL of concentrate, or dilution).
- 5 Review cost per wash and monthly usage.
- 6 Generate a branded PDF report to share.

Example data is for demonstration only. Replace it with your actual chemical prices and per-car usage.

These details appear at the top of your printable report. Optional fields can be left blank.
Add each chemical with its container size, unit, and price. Cost per mL and per gallon are calculated automatically.
Add your first chemical product to begin calculating cost per car.
Create each wash package, then add chemical line items for every application or pass. Choose concentrate mL per car or ready-to-use with a dilution ratio.
Create a wash package such as Basic, Deluxe, Premium, or Ceramic, then add its chemical applications.
A live overview across all packages. Monthly figures use the estimated cars per month you enter on each package.

From container price to cost per car
Every number is derived from the container price, the unit you buy in, and how much concentrate each car actually uses. Here is the math behind the results.
Chemical cost per mL
The container price is divided by the container size converted to millilitres: price ÷ mL in container. That gives a precise cost per millilitre for every product.
Concentrate per car
In concentrate mode you enter mL of concentrate per car. In ready-to-use mode you enter the applied mL and a dilution ratio, and concentrate is applied mL ÷ (ratio + 1).
Line-item cost
Each application costs cost per mL × concentrate mL × applications. Add an optional waste factor and it is multiplied by 1 + waste %.
Package & monthly totals
Package chemical cost is the sum of its line items. Multiply by estimated cars per month for monthly chemical cost, and compare it against retail price for gross after chemical.
Calculation Method & unit conversions
Unit conversions
- 1 gallon = 3,785.411784 mL
- 1 liter = 1,000 mL
- 1 fluid ounce = 29.5735 mL
- 1 milliliter = 1 mL
Cost per mL = container price ÷ container size in mL.
Ready-to-use dilution → concentrate per car = applied mL ÷ (dilution ratio + 1).
Line-item cost = cost per mL × concentrate mL × applications, adjusted by any waste factor (× (1 + waste %)).
Monthly usage = concentrate mL per car × applications × (1 + waste %) × estimated cars per month. Monthly chemical cost = chemical cost per car × cars per month.
Average chemical cost per car = total monthly chemical cost ÷ total cars per month (weighted); when no monthly car counts are entered, a simple average of packages is used.
